Airline Turnaround From Loss to Profitability
- Catalise worked with the national airline of Malta to effect a turnaround in its commercial position. The airline, critical to the economy of the island state, is a €220m business with over 1300 employees. Catalise led:
- securing EU approval of a state aid package to support the airline's turnaround program
- raising required capital
- disposal of non - core assets
- establishing the restructuring plan and program
- establishing and operating the PMO
- negotiation of restructuring agreements with the airline's unions
- managing a headcount reduction of circa 500 staff
- new organisation design
- internal and external recruitment process
- renegotiation of key supplier contracts

Deutsche Post World Net - Integration of 3 European Companies
Catalise were tasked with integrating the operations of 3 merged European logistics companies covering over a dozen countries Description of deliverables:

Velrada IT Services - Performance Improvement Plan
- We developed a comprehensive improvement plan for this IT services company that included:
- Business Development / Growth Planning
- Enhanced sales effectiveness and processes
- Improved yield management
- Performance Management System
DHL - Establishment of European IT Data Centre
- We centralised IT operations form 23 European countries, creating one of the largest data centres in Europe.
- multinatinal project team of over 160 people
- 16 project teams across Europe, 7 of which were working concurrently
- 50% of the project resources were from the client's own organisation
- Implemented within 12 months
- Less than 2 years from concept study to completion
Caribbean Airlines
- Creation of a new national airline
- Brought in by the new CEO and the Government to rescue the loss making national airline, Catalise developed the restructuring strategy and approach
- Worked with airline staff to implement the airline turnaround strategy, which involved closing the old BWIA airline and launching the new airline – Caribbean Airlines Limited.
- The old BWIA airline was a $270m business of over 2,000 employees.
